1948 - Ed Richards establishes the Richards Insurance Agency in Brattleboro.
1970's - Mark Richards joins the firm, along with brother-in-law, Henry Taggard; agency becomes Richards, Gates, Hoffman & Clay, the area's leading provider of insurance and employee benefits.
Today - Sons Pete Richards, Drew Richards and Ben Taggard help chart the course of The Richards Group for the next generation.
